It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the website of the Rethimnian Association of Melbourne - Australia “ ARKADI ”.

Our aim is to develop the website giving our members a main communication medium with their beloved Association, as well as all Cretans of Australia and Cretans of the world the opportunity to read and be informed of our Association's efforts and achievements to date.

Our Associations main aim is to sustain and promote moral, cultural and historical traditions as well as the language of the birthland of Crete through the creation and support of social events, celebrations of historic anniversaries, lectures, play performances, exhibitions, dancing performances as well as other educational activities.

Our Association is a member of the Cretan Federation of Australia & New Zealand and co - operates with other Member Associations in Melbourne as well as associations in other states and territories in the oceania region.
